Had Sunday lunch here today ... don’t go there for food it was vile .. all the components of my lunch were ranging from hot to cold .. with the most tasteless gravy that has ever been created .. the potatoes were clearly been hanging around for hours .. you know that flavour of soggy over cooked cold spuds .. it wasn’t even rosy chicken .. it was just a grilled breast .. not the same not that a ate that much because the rest of my food was vile .. they did give me by my money back as required... Rodger the supervisor was as helpful as a chocolate tea pot .. poorly trained .. just bar staff .. got a bit shirty with means defensive.. and sat there and said were always busy and no one else has completed making me feel a bit stupid ... so all in all bad food bad management .. DONT EAT THERE VILE FOOD !! You will be guided upstairs through a pristine and beautifully decorated hallway. Chapter’s Sunday lunch are lovely! Film.

Been meaning to try Chapter V for some time and finally got around to it ! Read good reviews so decided to try it out for my wifes birthday treat. The fact that it was a lovely summers evening helped the mood but Chapter V exceeded all our expectations.Bar area was comfortable, inviting and relaxed. My wife loved the decór and the menu was both interesting and different.I had to smile at some of the descriptions on the wine list (courtesy of Charles Robb)Pain grille?= Toast.Made our selections and were soon seated in the restaurant area. The vaulted ceilings and subtle styling were both attractive and welcoming.Although the room was busy you could have a conversation without a) shouting or b) overhearing other customers. Our starters were excellent. My pear salad with blue cheese was perfect as was the beetroot and goats cheese ordered by "the boss".Mains followed shortly and the Stone bass and Wild boar were top quality, accompanied by a good sauvignon blanc that complemented the food beautifully.Desserts were examined but we didn't indulge. No fault of what was on offer...just trying to be good.Verdict.A thoroughly enjoyable meal in relaxing surroundings.Spoke to one of the owners who was genuinely interested in our thoughts on their new venture.I am always delighted to try a new restaurant that gets the tricky balance of service, quality and value right and Chapter V ticks all the boxes. Please keep up the good work and maintain your standards and we will see you often in the years to come.
